David P. McCracken

David “Dave” McCracken, of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on April 26, 1965 in Miles City, Montana, he was the son of the late Robert and Alberta (Vasconcellos) McCracken.
He attended Bristol Agricultural High School, and was a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed watching movies, football, hockey, and spending time with his loved ones. He also enjoyed cooking, music, motorcycles, and nascar racing.
He is survived by his two daughters; Samantha (fiancé Matthew Lawrence) and Taylor, and partner of 22 years, Kim Brown. Loving brother and brother-in-law to Roberta “Bobbi” Blair and husband Wayne, Regina “Jeanne” Souza and husband Jim, Charles “Chuck” McCracken and wife Lynnette, Sharon Rocha and husband Joseph, Jeffrey McCracken and wife Norma, James McCracken, and Amy Pires and husband William. Proud grandfather of Maisy and Maxwell, and uncle to several nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. At the family’s request, services will be private.
