Leonard Burgo, 59, of San Francisco, CA died August 27, 2002 at San Francisco General Hospital.
He was the son of Eva (Pinto) Burgo of New Bedford and the late Waldemar Burgo.
Born and raised in New Bedford, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life until moving to San Francisco in 1984.
Mr. Burgo was formerly employed as a security office for Burns Security in San Francisco until his illness.
Survivors include his mother; his daughter, Toni Lee Burgo-Salazar of Millbrae, CA; his son, Leonard Burgo of South San Francisco; his former spouses, Jacquelyn (Amado) Serrano and Patricia Noyer; 4 sisters, Eugenia Lomba of Orlando, FL, Eleanor Duarte of New Bedford, Alice Fields-Walker of Altadena, CA, and Linda Pinto of Dighton; 7 brothers, Waldemar Burgo of Plymouth, Donald Burgo of San Bernardino, CA, Elario Burgo, Lester Burgo, Anterio Burgo, Maurice Burgo, and Marcio Burgo, all of New Bedford; 2 aunts, Alice Cruz of New Bedford and Lillian Gomes of Dedham; his longtime companion, Gloria Sandoval of San Francisco; 7 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours Friday evening, September 6th from 7-9 PM.
Burial will be private.
