Paula Jean Huff, born Paula Jean Golden, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and compassion.
Paula proudly served her country in the United States Air Force as a nurse, a career she carried with heart and commitment until her retirement. She was known for her quiet strength, generous spirit, and deep devotion to those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carole Brogdon Golden; her father, Curtis Lee Golden; her sister, Donna Rae Golden; and her beloved daughter, Nicole (Nikki) Rae Smith.
Paula was a loving grandmother and is survived by her cherished grandsons, Parker and Palmer Smith, who were a great joy in her life. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Lisa Golden; her niece, Sydney Golden; her nephew, Samuel Golden; along with extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Brushy Creek Cemetery in Ocilla. The service will include the reinterment of her daughter, Nicole Rae Smith, who will be laid to rest in her new location alongside her mother, honoring their enduring bond and providing a place of peace and remembrance for family and loved ones.
