Juanita Browning Hayes, 80, of Tifton died Saturday, September 9, 2006, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at Eastside Baptist Church. Rev. Calvin Bobo will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church, members of the Faithful Sunday School Class of Eastside Baptist Church and the Coffee Drinkers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Hayes was born on May 10, 1926 in Greenville, South Carolina and was the daughter of B. F. Browning and Irene Sellers Browning, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Brogdon. She was retired from Prestolite Wire Corportation and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Ms. Hayes is survived by her husband, John A. Hayes of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lamar and Velita Browning of Griffin and Albert and Ruby Browning of Cairo; and two granddaughters and their husbands, Lisa and Stewart Taylor and Libby and Chuck Jinwright.
