
SACO- Michael Ambroise Desjardins Jr., of Saco, Me, passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on February 2, 2026, at the age of 58.
This beautiful tribute is for a son, brother, and uncle: Michael Ambroise Desjardins Jr. (Mikey). He was born in Bremerhaven, Germany, on December 25th 1967. Michael attended the Biddeford, Maine, school system and graduated in 1988. He excelled academically, worked in the kitchen, kept track of daily attendance, work a Burger king for a short period and participated in the Special Olympics.
In his lifetime, Michael (Mikey) was defined by his loving personality and generosity. In 1996, Mikey became a member of Creative Works Systems in Saco, Maine, where they did piecework for Pinetree Business, Unum, and others. In 2015, they discontinued that part of the program, and Mikey focused on artwork to sell, delivering Meals on Wheels, cooking, and spending time with his peers.
Michael was predeceased by both sets of grandparents and his loving mother, Rosemary Grace Desjardins, in 2013. Michael is survived by his girlfriend, Renee Camire (aka fiancée), of 30 years. Father Michael (wife Judy); brothers Dwaine (wife Amy), Dale (wife Nicky), and Derrick (wife Stephanie); sister TammyJo (husband David); nephew Darryl (wife Melanie, grand-nephew Parker); niece Chelsea (grand-niece Ava); and niece Kylie. Michael is also survived by several cousins and his two surviving aunts (Janice and Judy).
Michael (Mikey) never missed out on anything despite his Y chromosome. He lived a very active life, loved to go for rides on motorcycles, traveling on airplanes, dates with his girlfriend on the weekends, attending movies, going out to eat, playing cards, watching TV, celebrating birthdays, and observing all major holidays. He loved being the center of attention, always wanting to be the first one in the door at family gatherings or holiday events. He had a love for TV, especially Police Academy, Smokey and the Bandit, The Dukes of Hazzard, and The Brady Bunch. MIKEY will be remembered for his everyday customary lines of……….

All services will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest next to his mother at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
