Obituary

Mr. Kevin Browne, a longtime resident of Waltham and beloved son of Elizabeth J. (Clement) Browne, passed away at the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge on January 27, 2026. He was 62 years old.

Kevin was born in Malden, Massachusetts, on November 15, 1963. Despite being dealt many challenges in his life, Kevin was a high school graduate and had been employed by Boston College in their cafeteria for more than 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed rooting for the Red Sox and spending time with friends at CHAI Works Day Program in Waltham. In the summers he loved his sailing lessons with Community Boating Boston.

He was incredibly kind and funny, and lived life to the fullest. He adored his friends and family and enjoyed taking trips and experiencing new things. He also had to say hi to every baby he saw and was over the moon whenever a new baby joined his family.

Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth; his loving siblings: William Browne and his wife Amy; Stephen Browne and his wife Jane; Marianne Drossos and her husband John; and Shannon Browne and her husband Robert Silli. He was also a proud and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Browne.

Kevin's memorial service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
