Carol A. (Allard) Melody, 70, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, with her family by her side. She was the wife of Robert I. Melody; they shared 37 years of marriage.
Mrs. Melody was born in Fall River, the daughter of Constance P. (Dolbec) Mulrooney of Fall River and the late Raymond R. Allard, Jr. of Assonet. Carol had been a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to retirement, she had worked as controller for High Seas Corp. and Frank Wetmore Corp. She was also the owner of Melody's Gardening. She cherished her beloved animals especially her cats, Baby, Momma, Goldie, Maggie & Munchie and her dogs, Tucker and Odessa. Her greatest joy was being a devoted wife and mother and spending time with her family.
Survivors along with her husband and mother include her 3 daughters: Katie A. Melody and her husband Benjamin Harris of Westport, Amy R. Melody and her fiancé Randy Melo of New Bedford and Chelsea Wynne of Fall River; her sister: Cathy S. (Sue) Sunderland of Fall River; along with nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 5:00–9:00 PM at Bittersweet Farm in Westport, MA. All are welcome to attend.
