WEBSTER – Harriet S. (Kowaleski) Strzelewicz, 91, of 194 Thompson Road, died Saturday, Sept. 9, at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. Her husband of 50 years, William B. Strzelewicz, Sr., died in 1984.
She leaves four children, William B. Strzelewicz, Jr. and his wife Ann of Palm Coast, FL, Harriet J. Williams of Poway, CA, John A. Strzelewicz and his wife Nancy of Riverside, CA, and Patricia F. Eames and her husband Richard of Westerly, RI and Conway, NH; eleven grandchildren, Lisa, Jeanne, William III, Debbie, Kit, Diedre, Mark, Ellen, Anthony, Noah and Jennifer; 4 great grandsons, Michael, Andrew, Nathan and Ravi; nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Southbridge, a daughter of Anthony and Rozalia (Rozenska) Kowaleski. She moved to Webster in 1933 when she married. She attended Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge.
Mrs. Strzelewicz was an invisible mender at Anglo Fabrics for many years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Joseph Basilica. She enjoyed sailing at Watch Hill, RI, growing her annual flower and vegetable garden, and sewing and knitting.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 13, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
