Irene H. (Michalski) Mazzei, age 90, a resident of Tewksbury, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of former Everett Fire Department Deputy Chief, Lawrence F. Mazzie, who passed away on January 14, 2026.
Born in Malden on February 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Adam Michalski and the late Rose L. (Turevich) (Michalski) Gianino.
Irene was raised in Everett and attended local schools.
She enjoyed crocheting, video games and completing Sudoku puzzles.
Surviving family members include her daughters, Lorene of Wakefield, Michele of Tewksbury, son Lawrence Jr. and his wife Donna of Tewksbury. She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great grandson. Irene was the sister of Joseph Michalski and his wife Jackie of Morris Township, NJ, Richard Michalski and his wife Paula of Hudson, NH and the late Michael Michalski and his surviving wife Linda of Milford, NH.
She leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Calling hours are Wednesday, February 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held in the funeral home. Interment of her ashes will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at a later date.
