NAPLES- Robert “Bob” Anderson, 70
Naples – Robert Anderson, 70, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the Gosnell House after a
long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Portland, Bob was the son of the late Richard and Dorothy Anderson. He was a
graduate of Gorham High School.
Bob’s career spanned several industries. In addition to working at Southworth and Maine
Yankee, he owned and operated several of his own businesses. He was a skilled Barn Wright
and worked on the water as a lobsterman. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and
prospecting for gold.
Bob was predeceased by his parents; his brother, James Anderson; and his sisters, Mary
Anderson and Laura Carr.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Valerie, Melissa, and Kaylee; and his partner, Pamela
Kennedy, whom he was blessed to reconnect with after being childhood friends. He is also
survived by his brothers, Richard Anderson of Westbrook and Charles Anderson of Windham,
and his sister, Dorothy Smith of Naples. He is also survived by his partner, Pamela Kennedy
whom he was blessed to reconnect with after being childhood friends.
