Veronica Mary "Ronnie" (Powers) Butler, 97, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Monday, January 26, 2026. She was the wife of the late Graham F. "Butch" Butler.
Ronnie was born in London, England daughter of the late Gilbert F. and Florence “Lillian” (Moore) Powers. Loving sister of the late Henrietta "Toots" Holden. She was educated in London and for 5 years during WWII at the Academy of the Sacred Hearts (SHA) in Fall River. She attended college in London upon her return in 1945. She subsequently returned to Fall River in 1952 with Toots to make a home there but remained a firm expatriate Brit all her life.
Ronnie worked mostly in the medical field, also for a few years in the electrical business. She was a confirmed animal lover, having always enjoyed the companionship of her cats and dogs, especially her beloved dog Biscuit. She also enjoyed a close relationship with The Holy Union Sisters in England and the United States. Her love and loyalty were only outdone by her wit.
Her life was blessed with her loving sister, cousins and many friends in many countries.
The Family wishes to extend their thanks to both Cranberry Home Care of Middleboro and Hanover Hospice of Fall River for the compassionate care they gave to Ronnie.
