Salvatore DiStefano, age 83, of Wilmington passed away on Sunday, January 25th, at Winchester Hospital. Born in Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Rita (DiPrinzio) DiStefano. Salvatore was a longtime Medford resident and was employed at MIT as a Site Engineer. He was a proud member of Local 22.
Salvatore was the beloved husband of Angela (Sciucco) DiStefano, and the devoted father of Rita-Anne DiStefano-French of Stow, MA, Antonia Maloney and her husband Shawn of Medford, MA, and Salvatore DiStefano, Jr. and his wife Lauren of Wilmington, MA. Grandchildren - Benjamin, Nathaniel and Isaiah French. Shawn Jr. and Angelica Maloney. Salvatore III, Nicholas and Vincenzo DiStefano.
Visiting hours have been omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, on Thursday, January 29th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
