Karle Lamonte Chase, 63, of New Bedford died Thursday September 7, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Christ Church, Barbados, West Indies, the son of the late Rev. Stanley and Icilma (Harewood) Bayne, he lived in England before moving to New Bedford 23 years ago.
He attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Chase was employed as a mechanic for Tremblay Bus Company for the past 23 years.
An avid sports fan, he was the co-chair of his cricket club in England. He served in the British Army.
Survivors include a sister, Andria P. Bayne of Quincy; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Carmen Yearwood.
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10 AM in the First Church of the Nazarene, 764 Hathaway Road, New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the church on Sunday from 5-7 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
