Nikolaos (Nick) Kalmanidis passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026 in Boston, MA at the age of 75 years young. Nick was born in Spilia Greece, and immigrated to the United States with his family at the young age of 18 years old. He was a skilled craftsman and business owner. He found his purpose in construction, his passion in making leather goods and masonry, and mission to pour his heart in to renovating the homes and businesses of his friends and loved ones. He was generous, kind, and quiet. In his later years he found tranquility by returning to his beloved Greece and being close to his loving mother and siblings. He was a man of few words, but his loyalty was fierce and unwavering. He spent his final months of life surrounded by love, peace, and companionship in Boston, MA with his daughter and son-in-law Nicole and Nicholas. He is survived by his children; his son Nickolaos Kalmanidis of Connecticut, his daughter Kristina Kalmanidis Peregoy and her husband James Peregoy of Virginia, his daughter Nicole Kalmanidis and her husband Nicholas Green of Massachusetts, and his grandchild Jaden Kalmanidis of Connecticut. He is survived by his mother Naziko Kalmanidis, his sister Margarita Konstantinidis and her husband Evangelos Konstantinidis, and his brother Theodoros Kalmanidis all of Greece, and beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Ioannis Kalmanidis, his brother Christos Kalmanidis, and his son Thomas Kalmanidis. Nikolaos was a child of God, and has been called home. A celebration of life will be held in Spilia Greece in summer of 2026.
