Obituary

Thomas Francis Larson, 64, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his Franklin home on January 22, surrounded by the love of his family, following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Boston on February 19, 1961, Thomas was the son of the late Robert J. Larson and Lorraine (Carr) Larson.

Tom was a devoted husband to Charlene J. (Davis) Larson with whom he shared 39 years of marriage. Together, they built a life in Franklin Massachusetts, rooted in love, family, and perseverance.

A proud 3rd-generation pipefitter, Tom worked for the Boston Pipefitters Union, Local 537 for 42 years. His dedication to the trade and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on those around him, especially his sons, whom he proudly watched follow in his footsteps as 4th generation Local 537 pipefitters.

He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving his country with honor and attaining the rank of Private First Class. His military service reflected his deep sense of duty, loyalty and commitment to others.

In his free time, Tom enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, and especially spending time in the garage with his boys working on cars. Among his most cherished projects was his 1973 Nova, lovingly restored over the past few years, and his old blue short bed Chevy.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Robert J. Larson II and his wife Melinda, his step granddaughter Lilyana, and his beloved granddaughter and best friend, Hailey “Rosie-girl” Larson; Ryan M. Larson and his wife Nicole, all of Bellingham.
