FALL RIVER - Sizaltina “Sally” (Arruda) Medeiros, 102, 495 New Boston Rd., Fall River, Ma., formerly of 149 Colfax St., Fall River, MA, died Thursday at Kimwell Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Silvino Medeiros. She is survived by One Daughter: Dolores Teixeira and her husband Anibal of Fall River, MA, One Sister: Lydia Moniz of Fall River, and Several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Anibal and Arthur “Barney” Arruda, Diamentina Viveiros and Gloria Oliveira.
Born in Arrifes, Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Antone Massa Arruda and the late Maria(Carreiro) Arruda. She was a Fall River resident since 1910. Before retiring, she was a Speeder Tender at Sagamore Mills and later at Lin Jay Mfg. She was a member of the Oak Village Seniors and St. Michael's Church.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Monday at 9 a.m followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St., at 10 A.M. Internment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 5-8 P.M.
