Mr. William S. "Bill" Marston, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved husband of Ruthann (LaBay) Marston, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He was 75 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 15, 1950, he was the beloved son of the late H. Stewart and Jessie (Hurrell) Marston. Bill spent his early years in Lynn, MA until his father’s career took the family to Cranford, NJ. Bill was a graduate of Cranford High School and the University of New Hampshire. While at UNH, Bill became a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity where he made lifelong friends. Bill worked for many years as a cost analyst at Chomerics and A.W. Chesterton Co. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, classical music and the New York Yankees. Above all, Bill cherished his family. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife of 32 years, Ruthann, he is survived by his dear sister-in-law, Michelle M. Gugliuzza and her husband Stanley Sliwowsky of Atkinson, New Hampshire and several nieces and nephews. His treasured fraternity brothers, Dennis, Rick, Bill and Barry also survive him. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sister-in-law, Judith N. Zanni.
His funeral will be celebrated in the Christ Church, 33 Central Street, Andover on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 11AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the church, prior to the service, from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
