
George R. Perkins, 89, of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Dedham, MA and Goodyear, AZ, passed away Sunday January 18, 2026, at All American Assisted Living of Londonderry, after a brief illness. George was born April 14, 1936, in Stoughton, MA and was a son of the late Elvon and Natalie (Leathers) Perkins, he was raised and educated in Stoughton, lived most of his life in Dedham. He received an associate degree in Electrical Engineering. George and his wife Sandra retired to Goodyear, AZ and he relocated to Londonderry to be near his daughter.
George served his country in the U.S. Army and later worked as an Electrical Engineer and was employed first with Raytheon Corporation and later for GTE Sylvania in Needham, MA. He enjoyed gardening, making puzzles and loved to watch birds. George enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and was also an avid fan of the NE Sports teams.
Members of the family include his daughter Annette and son-in-law Edward McInnis of Chester, NH, six grandchildren, Julie (Jeff) Trombly, of Derry, NH, Jessica McInnis of Derry, NH, Joseph (Ashley) McInnis of Plymouth, MA, Wayne (Marcella) DeCoste of San Francisco, CA, David (Talia) DeCoste of Goffstown, NH, and Nicole (Dom) McKnight of Buckeye, AZ, 10 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. George was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years Sandra Lee (Stergion) Perkins in April of 2025, and cherished daughter Linda Lee DeCoste of Goodyear, AZ in February of 2025. He was also predeceased by his three siblings, Richard Perkins, Robert Perkins and Gloria Perkins-Kennedy.
Following cremation, an hour of visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road in Londonderry, a Catholic Prayer service and Military Honors will begin at 11 am in the funeral home.
