Janis C. (Irving) Lyons, a resident of Revere, formerly of Medford, passed away at the Katzman Family Center for Life in Chelsea on Tuesday morning, January 20, 2026. She was 79 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 4, 1946, she was the beloved daughter of the late Bernard H. and Alice C. (Johnson) Irving. Janis worked as a Nurse at the Greenwood Nursing Home in Wakefield, for many years.
In her spare time, Janis enjoyed knitting and reading. She also loved to go out to eat with her many friends. She was a longtime member of the Trinity Evangelical Church in North Reading. Janis will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children; Jennifer and her husband Timothy Cusato of Harmony, Florida and James J. Lyons, Jr. of Georgetown, grandchildren; Nicolas, Samantha, Madeline and Abigail and several nieces and nephews.
