Ventura - Dianne Marie Aoun, 71, of Ventura passed away on January 18, 2026 with her family at her side.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, she met her husband Joseph at Quinsigamond Community College and to this day they have been married for 47 years. The couple moved to California in 1985 to start a family and further their employment pursuits.
She was a longtime-registered nurse for St. John's Hospital, Ventura County Medical Center, and ended her career working for Victoria Care Center.
Dianne was a dedicated Maronite catholic being a communicant of St. Peter and Paul Maronite Church in Simi Valley and was also a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Ventura.
Dianne had a strong love for all God’s creation; there wasn’t a plant she couldn’t resuscitate, a dog she didn’t want to pet, a tree that she didn’t adore and a person in need she didn’t help. She leaves that legacy of love, to all of those who had the extreme pleasure of knowing her.
She leaves her beloved husband Joseph Aoun, 2 daughters Christina Aoun and Michelle Aoun; she leaves her siblings Frances Haltinner and Norbert Roy; and 1 grandchild Dean Jonoubeh.
Family and friends are invited for Viewing/Visitation to be held on Thursday evening January 22, 2026 from 5 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, with a Most Holy Rosary at 7pm.
A Funeral Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 23, 2026 at 11am in St. Peter & Paul Maronite Catholic Church 1059 Ashland Avenue, Simi Valley. Interment will then follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Simi Valley. A reception will follow.
