Obituary

Harvey Feinauer Jr, 87, of Derry, New Hampshire, passed peacefully following a period of declining health on January 17th 2026.

Harvey was born on April 20, 1938, and spent his life rooted in Derry, a place he loved deeply. He was shaped by the land, the seasons, and a life tied to agriculture. The farm was central to who he was.

He loved the essence of the place he called home — the smell of a recently cut hayfield, freshly tilled soil, and the quiet satisfaction of days spent working the land, surrounded by nature and the wildlife he lived alongside. Agriculture was not just work to him; it was a way of life and a measure of a good day.

Harvey loved the old Derry — the quiet, sleepy agricultural town of the 1940s and 1950s — before life became hurried and crowded. He found comfort in simple things: the warmth of a fire, the satisfaction of a hard day’s work, and the steady rhythm of familiar routines.

He loved the church he shared with his wife, Kay, his country, and held deep respect for the military and those who served. Family mattered greatly to him, and he treasured his small circle of friends. He found real joy in simple gatherings — dinners around the kitchen table with family and friends, holidays spent together, and weekly coffee with friends at Dunkin’ Donuts — relationships built on trust, shared work, and quiet loyalty.

He was predeceased by his wife, Kay Feinauer, whom he loved deeply. Their partnership shaped his life, his home, and his sense of family.

Harvey is survived by his two sons, Christopher and Michael, and his grandson Wyatt.

In keeping with Harvey’s wishes, there will be no church or graveside service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peabody Funeral Homes of Derry, New Hampshire, with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
