PORTER- Robert W. Pendexter, age 73, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, New Hampshire.
The son of the late Wallace and Nellie Pendexter, he was born on September 14, 1952, in Portland.
Robert started working after high school and held various jobs before finding his calling as a truck driver. He drove for other companies before achieving his proudest accomplishment: buying and running his own truck, including purchasing a second truck for his son Chuck to drive. He continued to drive until his retirement.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and old western classics. He would sit for hours and watch the birds at the feeders.
Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Pendexter; his daughter Michelle Eastman and her husband Mark; his three grandchildren, Austin Eastman, Brianna Eastman and Gavin Pendexter; his daughter-in-law Sally Pendexter; and his sister Evelyn Pendexter.
He was predeceased by his son Chuck Pendexter and multiple siblings.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, followed by a 2 PM funeral service on Sunday January 25th, at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple Street, Cornish.
Burial will be in the spring at Stanley Cemetery in South Hiram on Friday May 22 at 2PM.
