M. Paulette ( Durand) Tardieu, age 101, of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 16, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the Pierre Tardieu, who died in 1993.
Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti on October 31, 1924, she was a loving daughter of the late Emmanuel and Mariette (Jean-Baptiste) Durand.
Paulette grew up and was educated in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and for twenty-three years, taught Elementary School in Haiti. In 2001, she moved to the United States and settled in North Attleboro.
A Norton resident for the past eleven years, Pauline was a member of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton. She especially loved spending time with her adoring family and her hobbies included reading, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Giliane Tardieu of Norton, Regine Tardieu of Norton and Philippe Tardieu and his wife Marie-Ange of Larchmont, New York. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of David Hendrix and his fiancé Lauren Kulik of Columbus, Ohio, Stephanie Tardieu-Rosenberg and her husband Jonathan Rosenberg of Larchmont, New York, Jean-Pierre Hendrix and his wife Katelyn of Arlington, Virginia and the great grandmother of Sophie Rosenberg and Chloe Rosenberg. She was the dear sister of the late Simone Verella and Fritz Durand.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, January 24th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 4:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
