With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lillian Dorothy (Galvin) Foye also known as Gigi, who left us on December 30th, 2025. She was born on November 11, 1948 in Salem, Mass, to the late John R. Galvin and Constance (Albert) Galvin and sister to the late John (Jack) Galvin.
Lillian grew up in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.
After graduation Lillian stayed home as a full time Mother, after her children were grown she worked in the Banking industry as an Operations Clerk for Fleet Bank and for Salem Five Bank
Lillian, often known for her quick wit and sense of humor, enjoyed bowling, photography, playing her online solitaire, reading and going to the beach.
Lillian is survived by her daughter Christine (Foye) Fionda and son-in-law Matthew Fionda of Plymouth, Mass. and son Kevin D. Foye and daughter-in-law Lorrie Foye of Ipswich, Mass. and her three grandchildren Justin Foye and his fiancé Cassidy, Michael Fionda, and Kaitlyn Foye, and several nieces and nephews.
We looked and saw you needed help, we wanted to help and asked, what (if anything) was needed? We often do not know what part of ourselves to give or if that part of us is even wanted… And while we don’t understand and feel helpless, we still love you and pray you find eternal peace….
Services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a future date.
