WORCESTER___Genowefa (Florczyk) Pianka, 90, of Worcester, passed away on Monday January 12, 2026 in St. Vincent Hospital.
Genowefa was born and raised in Zbojna, Poland a daughter of Franciszek and Katarzyna (Cekala) Florczyk and is survived by generations of nieces and nephews.
Ms. Pianka immigrated to the United States about 50 years ago. Genowefa was a hard worker and was a Housekeeper for State Mutual Insurance Co for some time. Later, Genowefa continued working as a housekeeper for St. Vincent Hospital before retiring several years ago.
Genowefa was a faithful longtime member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and cherished time with family and was proud of her Polish heritage.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel, 33 Ward Street with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home Saturday January 17, 2026 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
