Jeannie M. Flynn, 87 of Brockton and Cape Cod, MA, passed peacefully surrounded by family, on January 12, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter and cherished moments.
Jeannie is survived by her loving children Sandra Ulsamer of Houston, Scott Flynn (Lori) of Flagler Beach and Stacey Boudrot of Falmouth. She was a doting grandmother to Kyle, Benjamin and Erin Boudrot and Daniel (Lauren) Flynn, and most recently became a great-grandmother to Liberty Scott. She will also be missed by her extended family members, Monica Pratt and Mike Boudrot. She is survived by two sisters, Carol Gagnon and Roberta Corbin and many nieces and nephews. Jeannie was predeceased by her parents, James and Alice (Young) Lynch and her siblings, Jimmy, Pat, Dickie and Donnie and husband Gene Flynn.
Throughout her years on Cape Cod, Jeannie worked first as a popular teacher’s aide at Mattacheese Middle School then as the Maintenance Secretary at PBA. Most recently she retired as the personal assistant to Home Again’s Bob Vila. Beyond her work, Jeannie volunteered for numerous organizations, including Yarmouth Little League and the Barnstable Police Department, and was a caregiver for many friends and neighbors.
Jeannie had a special love for Cape beaches, especially Smuggler’s Beach, where she spent countless joyful hours with her circle of friends. She was passionate about golf and racquetball. Her warmth and spirit will be missed deeply and remembered always. A memorial service will take place at Smuggler’s Beach at a future date, where all will be welcome to honor Jeannie and share fond memories with her family.
