
Madeline Elaine Slocum (Thrasher), 75, of Londonderry, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday January 11, 2026 at All American Assisted Living in Londonderry after courageously battling Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. Madeline was born April 13, 1950 in Stoughton, MA and was a daughter of the late James and Patricia (Lund) Thrasher. She was raised in Easton, MA and had been a resident of Londonderry for 20+ years.
Madeline served the local community through her many years of employment with the Londonderry School district and University of New Hampshire, Manchester. She loved spending time at the beach, and at her homes she shared with her late husband in Punta Gorda, FL and Phippsburg, ME. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her precious granddaughter who she loved to color with, go on walks, and eat dessert together!
Madeline was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Craig Slocum in 2024. She is survived by her son, Elijah Slocum (Jill Owen) of Derry, NH; her daughter, Mariah Beard (Sean) and her granddaughter, Piper Beard of Salem, MA; and her two brothers, James and Arthur Thrasher; as well as many treasured nieces and nephews and extended family.
After cremation, calling hours will be held Friday January 16th from 4 to 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
