
Frank Monaco, 78, of Newton, MA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 7, 2026, at his home, from complications of diabetes.
Frank was born in Introdacqua, Italy, on May 22, 1947. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1957, settling in Watertown, MA.
Frank’s father passed away when he was a teenager, and at a young age he accepted significant family responsibilities, becoming a steady source of strength and support while also graduating from Watertown High School in 1966.
Shortly after graduation, Frank became a Master Plumber and went on to own and operate a successful heating and plumbing company in the Boston area working diligently for 52 years.
Frank enjoyed family dinners and gatherings, the outdoors, and traveling. In his spare time, he listened to Italian folk music and enjoyed researching the Middle Ages, ancient Egypt, and Rome. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, and the many good times shared with family and friends.
Frank was predeceased by his mother, Rosina (LoStracco) Monaco-DiCienzo; his father, Davino Monaco; his brother, Anthony “Tony” Monaco; his daughter, Marisa Lee Davis, all of Watertown; and his sister-in-law, Bette (Sullivan) Monaco of Medford.
He is survived by his spouse, Marie Monaco, and his son, Francesco Monaco, of Newton; his brother, Lou Monaco, of Medford; his sister, Maria Mazzola, and her spouse, Emilio Mazzola, of Watertown; and his grandson, Joseph E. Davis II, of East Providence, RI. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews: Alicia, Sandra, Matt, Aidan, David, Antonio, and Victoria.
Frank will also be deeply missed by his cousins in Canada, Italy, Massachusetts, Maine, Ohio, and Australia.
