John "Johnny" Reed of Quincy, MA formerly of South Boston, MA passed away on January 5, 2026 at Beth Israel Hospital.
Born February 16, 1966 in Boston, MA, to the late Elizabeth Rice and the late Francis Killen. Johnny was the son to the late James "Jim"Harvey Jr. and Maureen Harvey. He was a devote husband of 36 years to Eileen Reed, a wonderful father to Shawna and Ashley Reed, a father in-law to Tyler Bohlin and the best papa ever to Lucy Bohlin. Johnny was a brother to many siblings, an uncle to many nieces and nephews and a great friend to all. He worked 10+ years at the Gavin Foundation, 10+ years with National Development, over 35 years at Cole Hersee and worked at Jim’s Variety Store for many years. Johnny will be greatly remembered for his love for his family especially for his granddaughter Lucy Bohlin and for being a loyal friend.
A wake will be held at Casper’s Funeral Home at 187 Dorchester St. South Boston, MA on January 17, 2026 from 1-4pm .
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Gavin Foundation in memory of John Reed.
