Obituary

WILMINGTON: Francis A. “Frank” Ciccarelli, age 86, a resident of Wilmington for 15 years, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at his home.
He was the husband of Frances (Malone) Ciccarelli, with whom he celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 5th.
Born in East Boston on July 6, 1920, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Macchione) Ciccarelli.
Mr. Ciccarelli was raised in Cambridge and attended Cambridge schools.
In 1945, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Mr. Ciccarelli served during World War II and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Teamsters Local # 25 of Boston and the Town of Tewksbury’s Department of Public Works.
Mr. Ciccarelli resided in Tewksbury for 34 years until moving to Wilmington in 1991.
He was a communicant of St. William’s Church of Tewksbury and previously attended St. Dorothy’s Church in Wilmington.
Mr. Ciccarelli was a member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Lodge of Elks # 2070.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and traveling with his wife to Europe and Alaska.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter; Ann Marie Hill of Boca Raton, FL; three sons; John F. Ciccarelli and his wife Hannah of Port St. Lucie, FL, Robert F. Ciccarelli and his wife Sandra of Anchorage, AK and Edward M. Ciccarelli and his wife Mary of Dracut; five sisters; Anna Mitcheson of Somerville, Rosie Yohe of Florida, Yolanda Jennings of Cambridge, Phyllis Chico of Burlington and Mary O’Connor of Belmont; also nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Mr. Ciccarelli was the father-in-law of the late Arthur Hill and brother of the late Antoinette Robbio, Carmella Franzini, Anthony, John and Henry Ciccarelli.
Calling hours Saturday, September 9th, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by his Funeral Mass at 12 Noon at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
