TIMOTHY G. PEARCE OBITUARY
Timothy Gene Pearce, 77, of Glen Campbell, PA passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
The son of Clarence J. and Shirley Ann (Brillhart) Pearce he was born on July 2, 1948 in Spangler, PA.
Tim was a graduate of the Purchase Line Class of 1966. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1967 until 1970 earning the rank of Staff Sergeant.
On February 14, 1992 he married Phyllis Jean (Morgan) Pearce and they were married for almost thirty years until her death on January 22, 2022.
Tim worked as a coal miner for twenty-seven and half years. Twenty-two and a half was with Greenwich Collieries. He was a member of the UMWA.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping; gardening; canning, making jelly, hunting ginseng; and collecting mushrooms. Tim raised honeybees since childhood.
Tim is survived by his three children: Beth Winslow (Randy); Barb Adams (Jim) and Timothy Pearce, II (Alesha); his two step children: Robert Gray and Mark Gray (Erica); his twenty grandchildren: Brett and Carlee Erwin; Jared and Justin Painter; Hunter and Mikayla Sherry; Mikenzie, Christopher and Patrick Adams; Trinity Pearce; Charity Manioci; Serinity, Victoria, Ashton and Aidan Pearce; Amber, Carl, Blake, Autumn and Willow Gray; his twelve great grandchildren: Hallie, Jackson, Jocelyn, Kai, Riah, Romi, Aiden, Felix, Jane, Lawrence, Brooks and Pearl; his four siblings: Daniel Pearce; William Pearce and wife Janice; Samuel Pearce and wife Brenda and Jamie Pearce and wife Betty.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Phyllis and his sister: Susan Shultz.
Family and friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the 7:00 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, January 7, 2025 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA officiated by Rev. Stephen Moore. Interment will be at Rowley Cemetery in Hillsdale, PA.
