Obituary

Patricia M. Murphy (Foley), 58, of Bellingham, MA, passed away on January 2, 2026, following a courageous battle with glioblastoma.

Patricia, lovingly known as Trish, was born on February 28, 1967, in Stoneham, Massachusetts, to Bob and Marge Foley, currently of Port St. Lucie, Florida. She and the love of her life, her husband of 13 years, John R. Murphy, were married on October 6, 2012.

Trish was a graduate of Arlington Catholic High School. She went on to attend Northeastern University and later the New England School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and honed her natural talents for influence, advocacy, and leadership. After many years practicing law, Trish chose to step away from her career to devote herself fully to raising her boys—a role she cherished deeply. During this time, she served on the Bellingham Planning Board for nine years, as well as ran the Bellingham Middle School Ski Club for many years. More recently, she served as Finance and Operations Manager at St. Mary’s Parish in Franklin, where her dedication, integrity, and warm presence left a lasting and meaningful impact.

Trish’s passion for life was unmatched. She loved her family to the moon and back, and they were always at the center of everything she did. Her infectious smile and warm personality radiated far beyond her home, touching the lives of family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her family and friends were her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She had a love for playing pool and enjoyed competing in various leagues alongside her husband. Travel was another of her great passions, and she was always planning the next vacation with family and friends who soon became family. She especially loved cruising with her parents, husband, and sons, often returning home with new friendships she had formed along the way.

Trish is survived by her beloved husband, John; her sons Bryan Buckley and Sean Buckley of Bellingham; Ian Buckley (fiancée Sydney Garilli) of Wrentham; and Colin Buckley of Worcester. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday January 12th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 10AM.

Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
