Janet Rogers Lancaster, 73, of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Cole and Rev. David Biggers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Mrs. Lancaster was born March 2, 1952, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Robert E.L. and Mattie Mildred White Rogers. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School and began her career with the Georgia Department of Human Resources, retiring from The Jessamine Place after 30 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Wayne Lancaster of Fitzgerald; daughter, Katie Arbo & Brad of Woodstock; her grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart: Ridge Arbo and Rocky Arbo of Woodstock; siblings, Tommy Rogers & Evelyn of Cumming, Terry Rogers of Fitzgerald and Charlotte Rathburn of Fitzgerald; a sister-in-law, Beverly Stubbs & Larry of Fitzgerald; also, a host of nieces and nephews survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Jerry Rogers and Charles Rogers.
