Lidia Mabel Robles-Silvera, a longtime resident of Taunton Massachusetts , Passed away peacefully on December 21,2025 surrounded by by her loving family.
Lidia was born on May 29,1930 in Villaguay Entre Ríos ,Argentina .
She immigrated to the United States in 1966.
In 1967, she married the love of her life, the late Hector A Silvera and together they made their home in Lexington , Massachusetts.
While living in Lexington, Lidia began creating sweaters and doing alterations.Her extraordinary talent and dedication soon led her to establish her own knitwear manufacturing business.She successfully marketed her designs to small boutiques throughout New England, as to prestigious, retailers including Neiman Marcus and Northern Isle.
In 1980,Lidia relocated to Taunton Massachusetts where she continued her work as an artist and designer. She was an incredible creative spirit and will always and will always be remembered most as a gifted knitter and seamstress.Lidia loved everyone she met and touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness.
Lidia had a deep devotion to God and Mary, the Mother of Jesus, she prayed the rosary daily and never missed attending daily Mass unless she was ill.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband ,Hector A Silvera.
She is survived by her daughter ,Cecilia “CECE” Silvera-Smith , her son in law Darrell G Smith , her loving grandchildren, Jessica L Lagneau and Sergio D Lagneau and her ,her cherished great gran children , Alexa Hill,Jaelyn Rice,Judson P Rice Jr, Ava Rice, Nolan Rice and Sergio H Lagneau
