PORT CHARLOTTE, FL- Dann Vernon Pierce, age 77, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025.
Dann was born in Portland, Maine, grew up in Kezar Falls, Maine, and lived in Springvale, Maine before moving to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and then Port Charlotte, Florida.
Dann was a dedicated professional who worked as an office manager and bookkeeper. Dann proudly served his country as an Army veteran, a role he carried with quiet pride throughout his life.
In his personal time, Dann found joy in cruising the Caribbean, gardening, and home improvement projects, always taking satisfaction in caring for and improving his surroundings. Dann was an avid reader and enjoyed attending art shows throughout New England.
Dann leaves behind his long-term partner Kevin Wolfendale, of Port Charlotte, Florida, as well as their beloved schnauzer Gracie. Dann will also be missed by his niece Danielle Leavitt and her partner from Kezar Falls; his nephew Ryan Leavitt and his wife from Windham; and a great-niece Abigail Leona and her fiancé and 2 great-great nephews, Thomas and Harrison from South Hiram. He’ll also be dearly missed by extended family and friends.
Dann was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Leona Pierce, and his sister, Dawn.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Stanley Cemetery in South Hiram, Maine.
