Nora Donahue, a longtime resident of Charlestown and formerly of Woburn, entered into eternal life on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 85 years old.
Nora was born in Galway, Ireland on August 15, 1940, a daughter of the late Martin Mannion and Mary (Rabbitt) Mannion. Nora was a homemaker who took care of her cherished family. She was an avid traveler who loved returning home to Ireland to visit with her family. She was an amazing gardener and cook and made the best Irish bread you ever tasted. She was a very faithful woman who did so much for her parish St. Mary's in Charlestown.
Nora is the beloved wife of the late John Donahue. She is the devoted mother of Sheila Donahue-Walsh and her husband Kevin Walsh. She is the loving Grammie to John and Sydney Walsh. She is the beloved sister of Bridget Moran, Margaret Curran, Una Posteuca, Julia Lemon and the late Mary Grehan and Martin Mannion Jr. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Nora’s Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:00 in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn. Her burial will be private. There will be no visiting hours.
