
Jerome (Jerry) John Labadini
1939-2025
TEWKSBURY - Jerome (Jerry) John Labadini, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home with his family on December 27, 2025, at the age of 86.
Jerry is survived by the love of his life Frances M. (Mayhew) Labadini, with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage on September 19.
Born in Wellesley on November 9, 1939, he was the son of the late John A. Labadini and the late Louise E. (Resmini) Labadini. Jerry was raised in Wellesley and graduated from Wellesley High School. In high school, he was captain of the wrestling team. Following high school, he attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, where he earned an associate degree.
Jerry worked at General Electric for 40 years. After graduating from Wentworth in aeronautics, he was recruited by General Electric. He started as an hourly welder, welding jet engine parts working many hours of overtime. He advanced to a foreman and then Plant Manager. He was highly revered by all employees. At General Electric, one of his major accomplishments was implementing Just in Time (JIT) inventory for jet engine parts, saving the company millions of dollars.
He was an avid golfer and loved playing in the General Electric Golf League with many of his co-workers and many other leagues, including the Holy Family Parish Golf League.
Jerry was a communicant and supporter of Holy Family Parish-Saint Marie’s Church in Lowell where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and Legion of Mary. Jerry and Fran coordinated the annual church picnic for many years. Jerry was also a member of the church folk group.
In addition, Jerry’s passion was caring for his yard and planting and nurturing thousands of annuals, perennials, and vegetables.
After retirement, they enjoyed traveling and especially hosting their children and grandchildren at Disney World for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Bob C. Labadini and his wife Nora, of Westford, Laura J. Lefebvre and her husband John, of Groton, Jay J. Labadini and his wife Cindy, of Marco Island, FL, and Ken A. Labadini and his wife Laura, of North Andover. He was the grandfather (Pumpkin) of Bobby Labadini and his wife Jennifer, Chris Labadini and his wife Daniella, Derek Lefebvre, Lauren Valcourt and her husband Elsaint, Paul Mazzuchelli and his wife Kendera, Joey, Marisa, and Jenna Labadini, and the late Thomas Labadini, and great grandfather of Charlie, Ella, Jack, Manny, and Lily. He is the brother of Mary Badeau and her husband Paul, Beverly Gorman, Dianne Carter and her late husband Mike, and the late Lolly Chase and her husband Jack. Jerry leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Relatives and Friends are invited to Jerry’s Life Celebration at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home at 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury on January 6, 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish at 30 Grafton Street, Lowell on January 7 at 11:00 am. Those who wish can meet at Farmer & Dee at 10:00 am. After Mass, there will be a procession to Saint Mary’s Cemetery at 90 River Road Tewksbury followed by a Celebration of Life gathering with family and friends.
