Bobby Eugene Farmer, Sr., 76, of of Ty Ty passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Klay Luke officiating. Mr. Farmer will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Steve Farmer, Bobby Farmer Jr., Matthew Farmer, Clinton Farmer, Steven Farmer and Hunter Farmer will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 17, 1949, in Tifton, Mr. Farmer was the son of the late Spurley E. Farmer and Evelyn Horton Farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Helen McNatt Farmer, who passed away, November 24, 2025; one brother, Steve Farmer, Sr.; and one sister, June Farmer.
Mr. Farmer graduated from college and earned a doctorate degree at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. After college, he served as an attorney and was the owner of Bobby Farmer Attorney at Law in Tifton and Jonesboro. Before going to Law School, he served as a police officer in Tifton and Willacoochee. He also honorably served his country in the Vietnam War in the United States Army.
Mr. Farmer is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Jr. and Valarie Farmer of Ty Ty and Steve “Lucky” Jr. and Ginger Farmer of Ty Ty; one daughter, Cindy Farmer of Ty Ty; one brother, Dennis Farmer of Tifton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Tim Burnette of Moultrie and Deloris and Richard Robinson of Doerun; and two grandchildren, Matthew Farmer and Natalie Farmer.
