Joseph F. Ricciardi, died Monday at his Medford home, in the company of his loving family. He was 76.
A life-long Medford resident, Joseph was the son of the late Paul and the late Elvira (Caldiero) Ricciardi. Joseph served with the US Army during the Korean War and upon return from the war he began a long career with the former Schrafft’s Candy Company as a machinist. A member of the Charlestown Council of the Knights of Columbus, Joseph was also a member of the Woburn Elks and Charlestown’s 5:20 Club.
He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Walsh) Ricciardi. He was a devoted father to Joseph of Woburn, John and his wife Debra of NH, Paul and his wife Pamela of Tewksbury, James and his wife Tammy of Medford, Richard and his wife Hanna of Milton. He was a loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren. HE was the brother of Virginia Vita, Nancy Zizzo both of Medford, the late Sadie Ford, Francis and Anthony Ricciardi.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
