
Frances Elizabeth Graham Wisham, age 93, passed away peacefully on December 29,2025, at Southern Oaks Personal Care Home in Tifton, Georgia, surrounded by the love of her family.
Frances was born on August 4, 1932, in Enigma Georgia to James Albert Graham and Myra Roberts Graham. She was a life-long resident of the Tiftarea.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Wisham, her daughter, Brenda Joyce Mitchell, and her son-in-love, Randy Greer; three brothers, Hubert Graham, J.T. Graham, Eugene Graham and three sisters, Virginia Graham, Geneva Tawzer, and Doris Tucker.
Frances was the oldest member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tifton, where she was active as a Sunday School teacher until her health began to decline.
She is survived by her sons, Don Mitchell (Celia) of Suwanee, Georgia, Jon Kevin Wisham (Catherine) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mike Wisham (Dianne) of Americus, Georgia; her daughters, Lynn Greer of Upatoi, Georgia and Sandra Ellis (Richard) of Cordele, Georgia; her beloved grandchildren, Al Greer (Michelle) of Sycamore, Georgia, Jack Wisham (Jessee) of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Suzie Stevenson (Dom) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Katie Wisham of Denver, Colorado, Joshua Wisham of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ashley Goss of Athens, Georgia, Christopher (Jana) Goss of Florence, South Carolina, Timothy Wisham (Heather) of Columbus, Georgia, Robert Wisham of Americas, Georgia; one great granddaughter, Shelby Greer of Sycamore Georgia; one sister, Joyce Allen of Climax, Georgia along with several nieces and nephews. Also, the children of her heart, Billy and Penny Hall.
Frances was an energetic card player and always enjoyed visiting with her friends and engaging in a friendly game. Hand and Foot was one of her favorites. But she was happiest in the kitchen cooking for friends and family. They could always look forward to some homemade chicken and dumplings, fresh layer cakes and divinity.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Southern Oaks Personal Care Home, and her care team at Regency SouthernCare Hospice, especially her nurse, Keri Hester and Miz Lenore Jackson, her aid.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Reverand Glenn Ford will officiate, and the family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
