Maria Isabel Silverstre Pereira Morgado, age 79, passed away on December 24, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 21, 1946 in Alcobaça, Portugal, daughter of the late Joaquim and Maria (de Jesus Silvestre) Pereira. She was a communicant of the former Holy Name of Jesus Parish. Maria worked in a factory for many years before she retired. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Antonio Morgado of Chicopee; two sons, Marco Morgado and his wife Cathy of Chicopee and Jorge Morgado and his wife Jamie of East Longmeadow; five grandchildren, Max, Anthony, James, Isabella and Avery; three sisters, Anna, Lourdes and Aida and She is predeceased by one brother Antonio and three sisters, Maria, Alzira and Angelina. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 8:30 – 9:30 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 10:00 AM.
