
SOUTH HADLEY – Nancy A. (Davidson) Filarsky, 81, of South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Friday, December 26, 2025. She passed into Eternal Life at Day Brook Village in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving husband, Emery. She was born in Holyoke on September 25, 1944, a beloved daughter of the late Douglas and Lillian (Hooper) Davidson. She was raised and educated in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, moved to Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, and settled in South Hadley in 2004 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was an assembler at the former F.W. Sickles Company in Chicopee. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the former Fairview American Legion Post 438. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Emery F. Filarsky. They were married at the former Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee on October 3, 1964 and were blessed with over 61 years of happiness. She also leaves her twin brother, Douglas A. Davidson and his wife, Linda, of Maine; her three dear nieces, Carolyn, Debra and Lisa; her dear nephew, Kevin; her brother-in-law, Edward Filarsky of West Haven, CT; and her many grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Margaret Filarsky. Her family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to be followed by a Prayer Service at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Committal Service will follow the Prayer Service at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
