
Carmen “Cari” Sequeira LaFleur (49) of Leominster passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on December 23, 2025 in Quincy, Ma. surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Campanas Fogo, Cape Verde, the daughter of the late Albertina Alves and Alirio Sequeira. Carmen migrated to the United States and attended Dearborn Middle School. Later, while resided in Leominster, Ma, she graduated from Leominster High. She pursed her dream to become a chef and took Culinary Courses at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, Ma. Carmen worked as a retail manager. She loved to cook, always trying new recipes. She enjoyed shopping, arts and crafts and spending time with her children, family and friends.
She is survived by her 2 children, Felix Sequeira Jr. and Ava Brooklyn Moreno. Siblings, Maria “Regina” Fernandes, Late brother Joao “Toté” Sequeira, Ilda “Milin” Sequeira, Late sister, Ana Maria Sequeira, Manuel “NhoNho” Sequeira, Maria Teresa Spinola, Maria Ana “Vera” Centeio, Joao Sequeira and Marcolino “NhoMarco” Sequeira, she is also survived by 4 sister-in-law’s, 3 brother-in-law’s, 29 nieces and nephews, and 36 great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Carmen’s Life will be held on January 3, 2026, at the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM.
