Nick was born in Hrisohorafa, Serres, Greece, and immigrated to the United States in 1970 at the age of 16 with his family in pursuit of opportunity and a better future. He later graduated from North High School, laying the foundation for a life defined by hard work and devotion to family. He carried a deep love for his homeland of Greece, while also embracing and taking great pride in the United States, the second country he came to call home.
Nick was a devoted member of the Cultural Center Hrisohorafiton “Alexander the Great,” AHEPA, and a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, maintaining strong ties to his faith, heritage, and community throughout his life.
A successful and driven businessman, Nick opened, owned, and sold several businesses in Massachusetts and Vermont. His entrepreneurial spirit extended into the restaurant industry, real estate, and property management, where he earned respect for his work ethic, integrity, and strong intuition.
In Vermont, Nick expanded his businesses and settled with his wife, Artemis, where they raised their family. There, his love for the outdoors deepened as he pursued his passion for deer and big-game hunting. He also enjoyed fishing, particularly ice fishing, finding peace and joy in nature.
Above all else, Nick was a devoted family man. He never missed one of his children’s events and was deeply involved in their lives, especially through sports and academics. He proudly coached and refereed basketball and soccer, sharing not only his time, but his encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support.
Nick cherished traveling back to his beloved village in Greece each summer, where he spent treasured time with family and friends and swam in the clear blue waters of Chalkidiki. These visits brought him great joy and serenity, keeping him closely connected to his roots, which he lovingly instilled in his children and future grandchildren.
Nicholaos Vasiliadis will be remembered for his strong character, devotion to family, entrepreneurial spirit, and pride in his Greek heritage. He lived with integrity and humility,
treating everyone with fairness and respect. His legacy, values, and love will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
