
Martin Anthony Pulido, age 59, passed away peacefully on the evening of December 14, 2025, in Oak View, California. Born on August 29, 1966, in Ventura, California, Martin lived a life rooted in family, resilience, and heart. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, godson, and a treasured friend whose presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Carol Pulido; siblings, Mark, Edward (Joel), John, Raylene (Danny), and Carrie (Rigo); his children, Jacob, Michael, Martin Jr. (Sonia), and Marissa; and his adored grandchildren, Angelina, Charlie and Leonel. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, each holding their own stories and memories of Martin close to their hearts.
Of Chumash descent, Martin carried himself with a deep sense of warmth and authenticity. He was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the rare gift of storytelling, always ready with a memory, a laugh, or a story that could bring people together and fill a room. His humor was effortless, his smile unmistakable, and his presence had a way of making others feel comfortable, understood, and at home.
In the chapters leading up to his passing, Martin was embracing a season of growth, hope, and purpose. He was working toward the completion of his barber license, something he spoke of with pride and excitement. He looked forward to what the future held, and his family will forever cherish the determination and optimism he carried as he stepped into what was next.
A Viewing and Rosary will be held on Monday December 29, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, California. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday December 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Mission Basilica San Buenaventura, 211 E. Main Street, Ventura, California.
