Marco was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, in the Barrio El Bajo. He attended Escuela Superior Rafaelina E. Lebrón, where he completed his high school education. Early in life, Marco demonstrated a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, co-owning a hot dog cart in Puerto Rico alongside his brother.
Later, Marco moved to Massachusetts and settled in Lawrence with his family. There, he met his life partner of 33 years, Virginia Morales, with whom he shared a loving and devoted life. Marco worked for many years at Johnson Roses in Woburn as a nursery attendant, a role he took great pride in and truly enjoyed.
A devoted family man, Marco is survived by his two stepdaughters, Myriam Torres and Yolanda Fernandez, and his four cherished grandchildren: Giovanni, Erick Jr., Eliana, and Evan. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his brothers, Felix, Jose, Carlos, and Jorge; his sisters, Olga and Laura. Son of the late Francisco Torres Peralez and Felicita Sanchez Landrau.
Marco had a deep love for music and found great joy in playing the bongos. As a member of a band, he shared his rhythm and passion with everyone around him. Marco will be remembered for his warmth, dedication to family, and love of music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
