Leicester – Ruth G. (Fontaine) Makowski, 79, of Leicester, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, December 19, 2025 in the Saint Francis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Ruth is survived by her three daughters, Amylou Kuckowski of Blasdell, NY, Julie Spurr of Cherry Valley and Penny Samargian of Batavia, NY; a sister, Marylou Ferrante of New Hampshire; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born in Worcester, MA daughter of the late Robert and Rita Fontaine and is also predeceased by two brothers, Raymond Fontaine and Brad Fontaine as well as two sisters, Sarah Mills and Joan Dillon.
Ms. Makowski proudly served our nation in the United States Army and her burial with military honors was privately held in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. Worcester.
