John Gentile, a life-long Medford resident, died peacefully at his home on December 19th. He was 77. The son of the late John and Lillian (Troiano) Gentile, John was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
John enjoyed a long career in the floral business, handling the logistics of receiving and shipping flowers to venders throughout the region. Devoted to his family, John was a quiet man who cared for his aging parents and who enjoyed time with those he loved.
The beloved father of Jillian Vars and the late John Gentile, Jr., John was a loving grandfather to his three granddaughters. He was a devoted brother to James Gentile, Ricky Gentile, and Mike Gentile and his wife Dorotea and leaves his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit on Saturday, December 27 from 10 - 11:30 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, concluding with a prayer service at 11: 30 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
