Frank K. Scalfani, longtime resident of Medford, passed away on Friday, December 19th. He was 84. Born in Boston, he was the cherished son of the late Salvatore and Muriel (Shea) Scalfani.
Frank was a well-known hair dresser and won the “Best Hair Dresser Award” in Medford. He loved to boast that he was lucky enough to have styled Mrs. Jane Mansfield’s hair. An avid history enthusiast, Frank was fond of the Civil War. He had a good sense of humor and loved to joke around. Frank enjoyed touring the country with his wife Virginia, and spending time in his yard.
Frank was the beloved husband of 59 years to the late Virginia M. (Centrella) Scalfani. He was the devoted father of Keri Polinchak of Medford, Marla Cantone and her husband Joseph of Everett, and Nicole Scalfani of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of Sean Scalfani, and the dear brother of Marcia Zaiden, Annette Reagan and the late Joseph Scalfani. Frank is also survived by many family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, December 29th from 9 to 10:30 AM followed by a service in the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
