Jimmy Ellis Black, 60, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Black was born February 22, 1965, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late David and Clara Ruth Harrell Black. He was a self-employed carpenter and mechanic. He was very hands on and loved fixing things. Mr. Black loved to fish, take care of his cats and hang out with his friends. If he knew you needed a place to stay, he would welcome you with open arms. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his children: Ella Mattos, Adrian Black and David Wright; a granddaughter, Scarlett Mattos, and a sister, Bonnie Sue Jowers.
